Is it possible to mate a 7.3L with the newer torque shift?

I have always wondered the same thing the only problem I see is programing the PCM to the 5 speed torqshift instead of the 4-speed but besides that I would think just an adapter plate
One of these guys should know |

It can be done but its not cost effective. Would be cheaper to have a BTS or John Woods built 4R100.

Hmmmm Anyone ever put one of those Gear Vendors over/under drives on? Here's the link. Gear Vendors under/overdrive transmissions the most awarded auxiliary transmissions. Stacey David did on that copper head project.

I've seen those before and bet that extra gear would come in handy yet pricey

Which truck were you going to put it in? I bet it would be real nice for towing.

not trying to hijack the thread but I saw a international transfer truck with a 444 and auto tranny in it. what auto does international use and will it fit the 444t powerstroke? surely they don't use a 4r100

I would put it in my 95 p/u for towing and a little lower RPMs in top gear fro milage.
