trans short shifted or somthing more?

i got on it pulling out of my neighborhood and it shifted at 2000 it was lugging the engine but since its moded out it pulled like the converter was locked how do i get this thing to do this everytime

You can install a manual switch that will over ride the computer / get a wireing diagram and find the return wire from the converter - splice into it and bring the spliced wire up to the dash - put it on a toggle switch and ground the other terminal of the switch. When the switch is closed the converter will be locked - note: a locked converter will kill the engine at idle. Mike OB
