Talking Information on Common Modifications

Hello, I have had two PSDs and have always been very happy. Both of my trucks have been bone stock except for some minor exterior additions. My current truck is a 99.5 Dually 2wd.

I am just scratching the surface and beginning to get interested in turning up my PSD. My questions are 1. is there a good place to read about different modifications other than searching threads? 2. What mod generates the MASSIVE amount of black smoke from the exhaust? I am very interested in this. Thanks!

u can always look at the "tech files" towards the top of the main forums page...

for your truck i personally would reccomend...

the ford "severe duty" airbox...
gauges (egt..trans...and boost)
a 4" exhaust
a Tony Wildman or DP tuner chip...

the chip itself will give you all that you asked for in your post.... but the other stuff you should ALWAYS do before a chip to be safe.....make sure trans temp never gets over 200 and EGT's stay below 1200-1250.....
