I have a 99 with 16s on and have been wondering what sizes can i consider without hurting economy. thought about 17s or 18 but wanted to hear from those who have made the change.

:agree: plus if you go wider the extra width will hurt aerodynamics, and add resistance. (Even if the weight and diameter is the same)

You could go up to like a 285/75/16 tire size without hurting fuel economy. Once you get bigger wheels, the wheels weigh more than your stockers.

With out going with bigger wheels 285x75r16 with 18s wheels 285x65r18. Both should give you better economy by lower gear ratio.
