obs running gear under my SD?

I have a 2000 f250 2wd srw. I recently purchased a 96 f350 2wd dually and was thinking about putting the dually running gear (front and rear) under my 250. Is this possible? I would like to make mine a shortbed dually but the conversion parts for SD trucks seems to be extremely expensive in the area.

Anything is possable but not everything you can do is wise. You would loose your front ABS, downgrade the rotor/pad size and downgrade the rear from disk to drum. All you really need to do is find a 99-04 DRW axle for a pickup and the spacers for the front. Driveshaft might be different too, the DRW axle is a D80, your using a Sterling 10.5, the OBS uses a Sterling 10.25 for both SRW and DRW.
