I like using a bench vise. I like to remove the driveshaft and press the u-joint out in the bench vise. Also if your replacing one you might as well replace both U-joints. There is one on each end. For the cost it is worth it.

Just remove the driveshaft and replace both u-joints and then put the driveshaft in. If your concerned about pressing out the u-joint yourself. I am sure a local machine shop will do it for you for a small fee. Or even a local mechanic shop.

Either one would do it for a small fee I am sure of it. I don't know where he lives, I don't know if there is a machine shop in his town. There for I made that statement.

Be careful if you decide to change the front joints in the rear shaft. Mine has a double U-joint in the front and there is also a ball and socket with lots of tiny little needle bearings that will go everywhere when you take it apart. I bought new U-joints with no problem but could not find anywhere that sold the ball and socket bearing. The Ford place said you had to replace the whole drive shaft. I went home and spent hours trying to find all the old needles and clean them and put it all back together. That was about 3 years ago so it worked good but was a real pain.
