When you turn the key on does it drop right before you start the truck up.

Not trying to do that to you. But if the gauge drops to zero when you trun the key on then you should be fine. If it does not drop to zero when you turn the key on. Then you may have a bad gauge.

What are your readings when your cruising. Did you shorten the wire from the pyrometer to the gauge.

That is pretty close every truck is different. Cruising at 70 in my truck I am around 700-800 in the 75hp setting on my ts 6.

cruising around 55-60 that is the readings I get. So I think your gauge is accurate, just is not restting itself. I have autometer gauges as well. Mine will stick at 200 sometimes. But when I turn my key on it will go to zero until I start the truck up. Then it starts to climb up to 200-300 at idle after the truck is started and is idling.
