dp tuner problem

i installed a dp tuner last night and it ran great. then today it ran good till i used the econo mode and then the check engine light came on. while driving on econo it would all of a sudden just cut out for a split second every once and a while. it doesnt do it when i drive around on 140 smoke setting. i had it checked by 3 different scan tools and none of them came up with anything. they said it had connected with the computer but no codes.

is it retarding the timing to much it? my hypermax does that on same mod and called them they said it retards the timing to much for your elevation, and even then when i was in texas it did it just retarding the timeing to much and not allowing it to fire right.

yes, and i was just driving like 60 mph for about 10 minutes and when i came to stop the check engine light came on and the truck just died

another way to find out is hook a laptop up to it and drive it and find out whats going on if its retarding or trying to keep the injector open to long and over fuel it at lower rpm. Does it smoke alot when idiing with it on that econo?

i havnt really let it idle on that, but it does idile a little rough and 200 rpms lower then stock

mine was doing the same thing and it was timing problem, they retarded the hell out of it to make it get better mpg and when my truck is on that mod it smokes like hell and stinks omg drove me nuts i just left it on the next stage and worked fine. let me know if you notice anything else

yeah i emailed itp diesel and dp-tuner. hopefully they will have an idea. i just wish i could get a code to read so i have some idea
