Turbo Swap??

I have a 1999 F-250 with a stock turbo. I was wondering what it would take to swap something like a 2003 6.0 turbo in, i love the whistle that is makes. there is nothing wrong with the stock turbo but just looking for something different. Or should i just buy an aftermarket wheel like the WWII. I'm not really looking at buying a new turbo quite yet.

It would take a lot of time., money, and tweaking. The 6.0 turbo is a VGT(Variable Geometry Turbo) ours aren't. It wouldnt be worth it IMO. If you want a bigger turbo go with the 38r you can get a WW2 for the 38r also. The WW2 is pretty awesome. I have it in my stock e99 turbo.

Did you see any improvements with the WWII and how loud is the whistle with a straight pipe. Is it very had to install, about how long would it take an average person?

It was pretty easy to install. Took about 3 hrs to pull the turbo clean and install the wheel. It did make the whistle a little louder but not a ton. There is definately a performance improvement she boosts up fast and pulls hard!
