ok this thing kicked my but today, not hard but it wouldnt work, i have a 2.5 inch leveling shackles. I drove truck on ramps jacked up and put jack stand under it. took ramps out and removed old shackles. well i tryed to put the new shackles in buy using a bottle jack between the fram and the leaf spring right behind the axle well that works good but my leaf springs were hitting my sway bar???? I talked to my mechanic and he said rip that sway bar out of there you dont need it, said he ran his without one for years, is that ok or is it just asking for trouble? i mean this took about an hour but then to just have to turn around and put it back sucked, and the leaf packs shifted while when we took the old shackles out so that was a major pain in the butt trying to line them back up... anyone have any pointers??? thanks!!!

I took my sway bar off. Lots of people said don't, but I've noticed absolutely no difference without it.

how hard was it to get the leaf springs down to fit the shackle? i used the bottle jack and still had about an inch to go to fit the shackle...

I put new spring packs in the front of mine. Nothing was really hard to do, just took a while.
