4x4 Issue

My issue is the the 4x4 switch on the dash isnt engaging the four wheel drive. I cant hear the transfer case go into 4 Low from 4 High not so much from 2WD to 4 High. The light on the dash is coming on. If i have it in 4 High get out and lock the hubs it works. Anyone have any ideas?

Your hubs are not engaging. meaning they are leaking vacuum from the hubs them self or the vac line going down to them is leaking. Vacuum is what makes them work or you can turn them by hand.
