ic boots.

truck is down until i can get steering gear box. so i thought i would do a little cleaning and small repairs. can i soak the ic tubes in dawn dish detergent over night then rinse them tomorrow and let them air dry. is there a way to clean out the intercooler itself? also, can a reverse the dog house and run a hose the length of the truck to vent the crank case? just wandering about stuff i could do while its just sitting.

i think you can just clean the boots off. i imagine soaking them works too.
fill the inter-cooler up with simple green and water and swoosh it around in there, rinse until all the oils out.
riffraff sells a little kit that does that so you have a one piece intake tube and it comes with hose that vents it to the ground.
i just looked and its 68 bucks for the whole ccv kit.
