stall converter mod help needed

i ran a switch with a ground to the purple with yellow striped wire, the torque converter wire described to me by another member on the left wheel well under the air filter. this wire is located within the 3 bundles lying side by side.
when installed correctly, at a stop, with the trans in drive if i flip the switch it is supposed to lunge and stall. this does not happen on mine. any ideas? thank you.

ok, got the mod to work. switch was bad. going to test it out now.
