Boost Reading From PCM Accurate?

Just wondering how accurate the boost reading is from the pcm. I added an Edge Evolution programmer/gauges and stock reading was 15 psi, 80 hp program jumped it up to 18 psi and I just installed the WW2 and turbo master waste gate controller and I only got 19 psi. All testing done on same street at same location to try to be as accurate as possible. I will say that the difference from just the tune to the tune with the WW2 was noticeable. It pulled real strong and smooth after the WW2 install and getting on the go pedal at 1600 rpm in 6th, no surge, it just pulls nice. So I am just wondering how accurate the reading is. Thanks.

Did you try pulling up the PID on your EDGE for the MAP sensor? that would be the most accurate really, being that is what the PCM uses for your boost reading.

there are more people here much more knowledgeable then me, so please chime in if I am incorrect.

sounds like your map sensory could be a little off though, I get over 25lbs boost some days depending on air temp, oil temp etc.

Mods are simple....4" custom turbo back exhaust, stage 2 AFe CAI, Edge CTS Tuner, HID Lights, much more to come.

As long as the MAP sensor is in good condition, the reading will be accurate.

Yes, I have an auto meter gauge as well as edge insight and they read the same

PIS 175/80's, Van Turbo with EBPV, BD Billet Wheel
Lots of money spent at RiffRaff
Holley fuel pump, in tank mods, crappy riding leveling kit, DP-F6, 5 Gauges+Edge CS in dash, CB radio in Dash, over 100 goofy little mods
Still pretty slow, just less slow now.
