1.5" leveling kit?

I have an early '99 F-250 4x4 and am wanting to level the truck. From what I understand (reading on here), if you go 2" or more, you have to get an adjustable trac-bar. Not wanting to spend alot of money, and since with an early '99, the trac-bar requires some modification, will I NEED a trac-bar with just a 1.5" leveling kit? Or can I get buy without one? This is the kit I'm referring to:

Ford Superduty 1 5" Front Lift Shackle Leveling Kit | eBay

Early '99 Supercab/Longbed 4x4 F-250
276k miles and counting...
Superchip Programmer, DIY Intake, 4" straight pipe exhaust and Transmission/EGT/Boost gauges.

If all you want is 1.5 then go for it. But if you want 2 or 3 inches, don't compromise now or you won't be happy ever.

I just did my buddies with a 3" add a leaf and the axle alignment is better now than it was with the worn out stock springs.
If worse comes to worse you can mod the stock trackbar at home for free.

PIS 175/80's, Van Turbo with EBPV, BD Billet Wheel
Lots of money spent at RiffRaff
Holley fuel pump, in tank mods, crappy riding leveling kit, DP-F6, 5 Gauges+Edge CS in dash, CB radio in Dash, over 100 goofy little mods
Still pretty slow, just less slow now.

IMO Its crap....looks like what we ran as kids on our 56 chevys..you will end up changing the castor and pinion angle doing it.

Any lift will move the axle out of center..its geometry.

Just get a quality kit, 2" hangers or a 2" mini spring pack.

Mini spring packs can reuse stock length shocks, hangers need longer.
Both kits require a adj track bar to recenter your axle

Will get you 1.5-2", may need longer shocks and as always best to get a adj track bar.
