List of mods for 7.3?

I'm a bit new to the powerstrokes in general. My uncle has a 01 7.3 and a 11 6.7, I love them both and the 6.7 IMO pulls a lot better but I love the way his 7.3 sits and looks and runs. (only thing ever wrong was his 4wd and he's 2nd owner of it)

Out of curiosity, what mods are done to a 7.3? If any. Anybody know anything bout a front end conversion and newer style tailgate?

All suggestions and the like are appreciated. Probably gonna start a build thread if I can when I get around to finding me a 7.3.

TIA, John

There are roughly 673 mods commonly done to a 99-03 7.3 truck.
Hang out here for a little while, do some reading. You'll learn a lot.

PIS 230/80's, Van Turbo with EBPV, BD Billet Wheel
Lots of money spent at RiffRaff
Dual SD fuel pumps, in tank mods, CNC Fab bowl retain kit. SDK Tunes. Isspro.
Still pretty slow, just less slow now.

The possibilities are endless. Most people start off with intake, exhaust, gauges, and a tune. You can then build up from there.

There is a ton of information on these forums about possible modifications. It just takes time to search/find/read it all.

The newer style tailgate is almost a direct swap. The front end conversion requires some cutting and modification, but it is relatively easy.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. We can get you setup with everything you need to get where you want performance wise.

Like mentioned there are a ton of mods that can be done. Intake/exhaust/gauges/tuner are the most common.

The mount on our trucks require a newer style mount on the left side (DS) of the bed when going to an 08 or newer tailgate since they have a torsion tube in them to assist opening/closing. Easy change and under $20 for the mount from Ford.
