starting problem...what is it?

earlier this year i had my alternator replaced. it still started a little slow because i had a battery going bad. the other day i had the batteries tested and one was good and the one was bad, so i replaced the bad one. it still starts real slow a lot of the time. it will flicker the lights a little. but sometime if i let off and turn the key again it starts right up. What else could this be?

I know it's a long shot but check your starter solenoids. Make sure all connections look good on them and the battery connections are good and tight and nice and clean.

I had a bad start like that and had loose connections on the battery, then found out one of my solenoids was rusting through on the top, tried to take it apart and it broke (glad it happened in my driveway) so got that replaced and good as new. I cannot stress this enough, please make sure if you have to do the solenoids one or the other, MAKE sure all the wires go back PROPERLY..Believe me when I say this
