Quick question about the FX4 and 4x4?

I used the search engine, but could not find anything since FX4 was too short. I was wondering what is the difference between FX4 and 4x4. Also, would it be hard to convert the 4x4 to Fx4? Lastly, was the FX4 made on the 2002-2003 F250 7.3 diesels? Thanks

I thought the Fx4 came out with the 6.0, someone will be able to give you a for sure answer soon!

FX4 is just an offroad package IN ADDITION to the 4x4 drivetrain...you know, like skidplates, Rancho shocks, that sorta deal...

they're not even Rancho shocks. They say Motorcraft at the bottom, and have Rancho stickers on them.

I don't believe so. I thought the tow hooks and fog lights were part of the FX4 package but i could be wrong.
