Limited Slip Diff Question

Is the a simple way to check if you have a rear limited slip diff? I get a small amount of chatter if I turn hard after I just have just started my EX up.

If it's a factory installed unit it will say on the diff tag. Not sure what the code you're looking for will be. Someone will pipe up I'm sure.

look at the rear diff tag....

where the bolt goes through....on teh bottom row it will say either

3 73
or
3L73

The L means it has a posi....if it doesnt have the L its an open conventional diff

if that is true then why is it the axle code on my door says "41" which from my ford CD's says 41 — 3.73 non-limited slip, F-350 (single rear wheels)

My my Axle tag says 3L73 which to me would denote a limited slip differential. I have the cover off my diff right now so if there is anything that is easily identifiable as to limited slip or not please let me know. I'd try something with the wheels but 6in lift and 37's let me work on the diff with the truck on the ground :-)
