Been having the same issue with my truck.

My question is WHERE is the switch? A buddy of mine who used to have an F350 and is an ASE Tech told me it was at the front of the door, but in reading all of parts descriptions for a new switch, they keep saying the switch is part of the latch, which I would think is at the BACK of the door.

its inside the door in the latch....

u have to take the door panel off...then the three Torx 27 screws out of t he latch....the manuver the latch to twist the door switch out...which twists into the bottom of the latch...

Right, I'm not going to replace it yet though, going to try cleaning it first via this method:

Dome lights stay on

My question is, do I spray in the hole where the black rod goes from the a-pillar into the door, or on the actual latch mechanism where it attaches to the b-pillar?

Also, an easier solution to stop this from draining your batts is to just to pull the top-left relay in the box under the access panel under the dash. Mine's been that way for 6 months, just finally getting around to fixing it.

Yup. Electrical stuff may not be my automotive strongpoint, but I did check that.

Got it fixed. The switch is definitely not where my buddy said it was. Switch wouldn't clean out, so grabbed a new one. For $15 it wasn't too bad. Shoulda fixed the door lock actuator while I was in there. Oh well.
