Oil Pressure on hill?

I have noticed my truck is slow to make oil pressure when parked on a steep hill (driveway).

The oil level is fine. No problems when parked flat. Park on a hill and the oil pressure gauge takes considerably longer to 'make'. It has even failed to make on one occasion and the truck shut off. I added oil (putting me over the full mark) and it fired right up.

Any thoughts besides overfilling oil or not parking on a hill? My driveway is steep and sometimes I have no choice. Thanks

Thanks for the input. Noralph, I commented on the other thread with a question. Is there a way I can check operation of my LPOP easily? I'll do some research with the search function, just figured I'd go ahead and ask since this thread is going on.

I'm not sure if that is exactly what I am experiencing or not. The time it died on me it cranked up just fine. I just happened to be watching my oil pressure gauge and noticed it didn't move before it died. I assumed it timed out and killed the motor. It sounded like it was running fine for the few seconds before shutting off. (Which I assume was some type of set time period, for instance 5-10 seconds)

Am I right to assume if I don't make oil pressure within a set time period the motor will shut down? I don't work on diesels for a living, but the machines I work on will shut off if oil pressure is not made in a given period of time. Thanks
