New CPS, lower power & hic-up now
Hey all,
I had the CPS replaced last week... garage just picked up one at the local Advance, haven't heard anything from Ford about the recall yet in the mail... The truck now seems to have just a slight bit less power, I wouldn't have even noticed it if it hadden't hic-up'd on me yesterday, and again this morning. This morning, it actuly made the SES light come on, and I went straight to the garage, he hooked it up to the diag reader, and it was "CPS signal intermitant". I didn't get the number, that's just what my buddy read off to me. Did I get an older CPS? The junk one? How to tell? Help!!! |

Why did you replace the CPS to begin with? They are not something you should replace unless it quits or is acting up. One can be junk and a nother can last the life of the truck...

I had gotten a CPS code a week or so before... so it was replaced... based on that, and the hype around the CPS recall...
