Motor Oil Change question
I have a 01 EX with 207000 miles on it. I have been changing my oil between every 3000-5000 miles. I was just wondering can I drive more than 5000 miles before changing oil? Also is there any other set ups to extend oil life.
The reason I'm asking is because a few weeks ago I saw an EX for sale on ebay that had, if i can remember correctly, a set up with a k&n oil filter and a lucas oil treatment (not sure what that is), and they said it could go up to 15,000 miles without an oil change. If this is true this could save alot of money. I do drive a lot, and I do tow boats often. Thank You |

If you switch to synthetics you should get 15-20k. Run a filter bypass and get 10-15k more.

go with a synthetic some companies claim up to 25k and it sure beats changinging oil every 3-5k

fooo sure you can, i run/sell Amsoil front to back, i just got my oil sample diagnostics back, sent it in at 6k and it was still good to go. Now i will pull a sample at 10k, 15k, 20k, and will change it at 20-25k. Sooo syn is THE way to go if you want extended oil changes,, good luck man
