Hangnut77 is correct about a TSB
I printed out a TSB 04-18-5 this morning, it covers 99 - 04 F-Super duty and Excursion. I can't put it on the enternet because I bought it for my shop and I would be liable. What it tells you is to remove the locking hub and drill the end of the axle with a 5/8 drill bit 8 thousands deep. They claim it can be done in .3 hr - that equals 18 min. per side. If you do it, make sure you get all the metal out of your hub. Good luck Mike OB
