Rear-End Ratio ?????

I just bought a 2001 F-350 and was wanting to find out what ratio the rear-end is. Can anyone tell me where to look, ie... like a serial number on the axle or what?

Most likley it 3.73. There should be a tag on one of the bolts of the rear diff cover.

there should be a metal tag on the rear end diff housing, and sometimes its on the sticker on the door(not on my truck tho).

post up what the tag says and someone can tell you which it has. is it a dually or SRW 350?

its its a dually, it wont have the 3.73

Usually there is a tag on the rear diff that will tell you the axle code. If not you can look on the drivers door post at the build sticker. Look under the word axle and it will give you a code, then you can look here to check it: Automotive What is my Ford rear end ratio, do I have positraction
