Cold natured?

Not really a problem, so it's not posted there. Just a general question.

My temp gage will go no higher than a little past the cold mark. The tailpipe gets too hot to touch, which is normal, and the truck runs fine. Just wonderding, without having another 444 to compare to, if this is normal or if I have a colder range thermostat than recommended. Are temp sensors prone to fail?

My temp Gauge has always run dead in the middle of the gauge when warmed up, I would think something is not right with your gauge/sender. If you have access to a laser thermometer (there not that expensive) you could shoot the coolant lines and see what you get for a temps.

I bought the truck with it installed. I haven't heard of this problem from anyone else with the blue CPS. Any feedback?
