Besides the standard programmers and add ons. Is it even possible to custom reprogram the factory computer to match a custom engine setup? I am not sure if any shops out there do this. Thanks
SCT is a company that offers custom tunes. You would have to purchase their Livewire device and have them put a custome tune on their that you can download onto your ECU. For just the Livewire programmer, it retails for about $569.00.

But those kinds of tunes are generic correct? I am new to diesels. When I tune my gas race car we do it on a dyno and make sure the tune is exact to what mods are done. Do they offer these services?
Jody can live tune your truck but it is usually cost prohibitive. He is in Georgia. You can wait until he comes to your area or drive to a live tune event. FYI, nothing Jody tunes is generic. Call him and ask.
SCT can live tune your truck but it is not as exhaustive programing as DP tuner. However you might be able to find more SCT shops that tuen diesels.
