Auto enginuity and OBD-2
Can anyone give me insight on these two programs for our trucks. My truck's valve cover says it's OBD II exempt. With that in mind, how much info will I actually get. I know I need a laptop for both. I Know a little more about AE than the other, but have heard OBD-2 is a good program. Just not sure what I'll get out of it being OBDII exempt.
Thanks. |

What year do you have? If it is a 94 and up powerstroke it is OBD-II . AE is a good tool to have for our trucks.
What is this OBD-2 software? |

I think Dennis at ITP Diesel sells these systems. Dont be afraid to give him a call and ask questions. He is (or was) a supporter of this site. ITP Diesel, L.L.C.

Dennis is a sponsor and that is where I bought my AE from. I would order everything for my truck if he had everything I wanted. He knows his stuff and is truly good people

Thanks. I've made some purchases from Dennis as well. AE I'm somewhat familair with. OBD-2 is a similar program at about a third of the cost.
My truck is an '01, but the valve cover says OBDII exempt, so I think a code reader will only pick up the Ford specific stuff. |
