Previously owned Edge Evolution ?
I have a buddy that sold his 2000 F250, but kept the Edge Evolution EEF1000 programmer out of it and is offering to sell it to me. Before buying it he let me take it because I wanted to see how much difference it makes. When I attempted to program my truck, also a 2000 F250, the programmer takes me through the steps up until when I get to the programming mode and turn key on, then after it communicates for a minute it displays:
Mismatch vehicle. Return to original vehicle and set to stock program. And that’s all it does. Why is this and is there a way around it? |

IT SOUNDS LIKE ITS VIN LOCKED AND YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE ORIGONAL VEHICLE TO RETURN THE TRUCK TO STOCK THEN PROGRAM YOURS AND TO MY LAST KNOWLEDGE THERE IS NO WAY AROUND IT UNLESS YOU SEND IT INTO EDGE AND HAVE THEM REPROGRAM IT

The programer is VIN locked, you would need to take it back to your buddies truck and reload his stock program before you can use it on yours. Other than that I don't think you can re-program these. There are smarter poeple than me on here hopefully they can give further info.

You can send it to edge and theyll send you a brand new one.........But dont tell em that you didnt buy it yourself or they wont do it.........They will normally send you the new on overnighted free of charge to you......all you have to do is send the old one back with a new packing slip they supply you...............
