Fuel Bowl Heater
What is the difference between the internal and external fuel bowl heater? I have an early 99 that blew the fuse one night and the next day it gelled up on me and it hasnt ever gelled up on me before so I believe that the heater does more than most people think. My question is can I use either one? Which one is better? I have the internal one now. Thanks in advance!!!

I dont know what the difference is but my heater just broke. I had my truck in the shop and they told me to buy the fuel filter housing for $600.00. I was not going through that B.S. I found out you can get the heating element by itself. I ordered mine from an international dealer and saved about 120.00. I believe that they are needed. I am going to replace mine tomorrow. Hope this helps you! Good luck

I got mine for $42.00 at the International dealer. It is the fuel bowl heater on the plate with the electrical connector.
