I like the look of a factory radio in my truck but I have a ipod and I want to be able to connect it without an FM modulator or the tape adapter. My question is could I buy a 08 radio and put it in my truck or any other year that has the ipod connection. or could I put an after market cd player under my middle seat and connect it to the speakers. Just some ideas I have running through my head and wondering if I could get something to work and look good.

08 will not fit your dash and i dont belive any of the ones that will had the aux plug that you want for the ipod. i just got an aftermarket stereo with the input and was done with it you can get a new stereo for 100-200 depending on what all you want it to do and it will sound way better than the factory one ever could plus youll have more features and install on these trucks is simple heck if you get at bestbuy circut city or most other big electronic stores they usually put it in for free i prefer to do my own and order from theyre cheap and send you everything you need for the install

traded it for an 06 dodge sorry

Kenwood offers an External Media Controller ( KOS-A200 ) that allows hook-up of MP3 & iPod. I saw it in the Crutchfield catalog for 199.99 . Maybe what you are looking for.
