ABS?
I know this is almost pointless to post, but i thought maybe somone could steer me in the right direction.
My truck has a strange noise in the right front wheel area. it lasts 1-5 seconds and only occurs between 45 and 15 mph. it also only happens about once every 3-5 minutes. it feels like a slight shutter through the steering wheel. no engine lights or abs lights come on. it feels and sounds like the tire is rubbing on something, but it is not (i am sure). it happens when the wheels are straight or when turning, seems like no preference.
i know its impossible to describe a sound in words but.......
a friend told me it might be an abs sensor to that wheel.
another idea was wheel bearing or brake pad.
just a side note, this may be coinincidence, but i put it in 4wheel drive for about 10 minutes and it didnt occur once durring that time.
any suggestions or ideas no matter how simple or obvious are appreciated. I am a fairly competent shadetree mechanic, but i am stumped on this one.
Thanks in advance y'all.
