High Pressure Oil Crossover Hose

Hi, I am from Australia seeking your expertise on this issue.
Anybody out there have any knowledge on the benefits of fitting one of these hoses to a 7.3 and can you do it yourself or is it a dealer job?
Anything I can read on this including any downsides to the change.
Regards,
Downunder

Edit: Year of manufature is 2003

What year is your 7.3?

I have a cross over line and it does seem to help.

EDIT: It's a DIY job, not dealer.

the line can be installed at home. it acts like a cushion for the high pressure oil rails,it also evens out the oil pressure between the two rails. it will smooth out the engine idle a little and also quite down the engine a little. at least it did on my rig

I agree, smoothed out the idle and made it more quiet. Definetely worth it.
