Smoke switch

I was wondering if you could do a smoke switch on a PSD? I've seen a couple of Dodges with them and what it basically does is send the signal that the turbo is at full boost and can't boost anymore so all you get is the fuel. I've never seen it done on a Ford so i was just wondering if this was even possible?

the only thing you could do would be to put the wastegate solenoid on a switch......the problem is that its tough to say how the PCM is gonna react to the loss of boost.....

Oh, I see. I think how my buddy did it was that he tapped into his boost line or something and made it think there was full boost? I'm not sure, but I'll get the details from him.

wouldnt it be a switch on the map sensor to make it think it has full boost all the time?
