Looking for fuel filter Plastic Cover

Hello All,

I am looking to buy a new plastic cover that fits over the fuel filter, I broke mine off years ago but was just looking to put a new one back on. I dont really like the look of the crome ones, just stock is good with me.

I havn't been able to find any on line, anybody have an idea?

Thank you
D

Re: Looking for fuel filter Plastic Cover

Dorman has the 6.0 ones. I can check in the morning for the 7.3 ones. I think wix has them also.

I bet you can get one from the local Ford dealer. I don't remember the price, but it wasn't cheap.

I got mine from AutoZone when I needed one. They will probably have to order one in. They're $33.99 online. Amazon has them for $15.98. Advance Auto has them for $15.99.

Dorman part # 904-203

If you need a fuel filter too... Advance Auto usually has the Motorcraft filter, for much less than the dealer wants.

I believe you're talking about the engine cover. They're hard to come by from my experience. They break and most guys just throw them out. Or discard them because they get tired of removing them to replace the fuel filter.

Sounds like its time to go "test drive" a 7.3 from a stealership...

Haha, J/K. I'm sure Ford sells replacements, or hit a wrecking yard and browse around. Its amazing what I find sometimes at the wreckers around here (6.0 coolers, for $30!) among the other thousands of dollars I've spent there...
