2 issues: knocking in front left only in 4x4 and ac/heat only blowing out of defrost

So just like the title says, I get a knock in the front left wheel when I put my truck in 4x4. It seems to only happen when turning but not when the wheel is full locked to either side. Help?

Second issue: started truck up today after a solid mud slingin' session and only got heat/ac through the defrost vents. I've been reading that this is usually caused by a loose connection or a vacuum hose leak/bad vacuum pump. Any suggestions? Also vacuum pump is located where? Passenger side fender, correct?

i'm guessing the knock on the left side might be your axleshaft u-joint and the air out the defrost only is hopefully just a bad airline somewhere in the system. I am not sure how to give you better advise, but you will need to try to hunt down an air leak and go from there.
