EBVP total removal
Hello, first off I am sorry if this has been covered. (if so please link me)
What I am looking to do is totally remove the EBP system. I got the new pedastal and housing off RiffRaff (Riffraff Diesel: Garrett Non-EBPV/ Blank Pedestal 99.5-03) Riffraff Diesel: Turbonetics High Flow Outlet My question is what do I do with the plug, tube, sensor? Can I take the sensor(front of the motor) out and find a plug or something to insert? I am thinking I should install the new pedastal and housing. Removing the entire valve assembly near the turbo and just unplug the sensor in the front of the motor and I should be able to remove the tube all together? Am I correct in my thinking? Thanks in advance. |

leave the tube, sensor plugged in. You can however, unplug the ebpv sensor, and leave it down in the valley. it will throw a "soft" code..(wont shoe CEL / SES) light, or if you dont like the soft code stored, install a resistor between the contacts at plug...google around, cant remember exact resistor spec.

If I take the sensor out though I should be able to remove everything EBP related though correct? THe entire valve assembly will be gone, therefore if i can find a plug to replace the front sensor location than I should be able to remove everything and possibly throw a soft code?
