Trying to remove my turbo what is holding it in the back its an 03' got the clamp loosened up just can't pull the turbo out any tips/tricks all bolts are out all other clamps are off
I know the turbo on my 04 was a bear to get dislodged. The rear bolt was the worst to remove, kinda buried in there. Other than that, mine was kind of held in place by the turbo down pipe which I had to loosen at the clamp under the truck and pull it away from the exhaust side of the turbo before it would come out. the oil drain tube o-rings get sticky too and will require some wiggling to get out. Its a pain in the butt if it hasnt been removed in a while but stick at it, it'll come!
that clamp you loosened is the same clamp for the exhaust. Its a V band clamp, meaning, it falls in the "grooves" of both the back of turbo and collector. Keep undoing it til you can slide it up/over onto the collector.
i used a real small punch and a real small hammer to get that back clamp to break free on mine.
