F450 Springs

I have the opportunity to buy all F450 springs, and was wondering how they would do or if they would bolt up to a 2001 f250 and the f450 is an 05. Would I get any lift an how stiff would they be. Basically good idea or bad idea? Also getting trans cooler for $40 and tow mirrors if I want them.

The front springs from an '05 won't work on an '01. I think the rears will work, but I don't think you would get more than 1-2" lift from it.

If that's a 6.0 trans cooler for $40, that's cheap.

We paid $35 ea for two trans coolers at our local yard - I need to go find another out there for MY truck now. lol.

And as far as spring fitment goes, I believe Tj is correct.

Sounds like I need to get off the ORG and out to the junkyards more.


The junkyards around here seem to be personal collections more than parts for sale. Tried to buy parts a few times, always the same answer. Either not for sale, or they want MORE than the dealer wants for new OEM stuff.
