When you disconnect the fuel pump..
is there supposed to be a steady tridkle of fuel in the line from the tank to the back of the pump? I have about 8 gallons of diesel in there and the line dripped for a minute and then nothing came out. If there is I am guessing that the pickup in the tank either cracked, is clogged or fell off.....

Mine drips more from the line that runs from the pump to the fuel bowl that the one from the tank to the pump. The line from the tank will be just a couple of drops everytime I have pulled my pump.

Ok I wasn't sure because I saw a guy on you tube that said the line kept leaking out diesel pretty profusely and to either cap the line or install the pump quickly. I think I am still going to drop the tank and check it out. I should do the hutch mod but I don't have enough time. Thanks for the reply.
