Valvoline Premium Blue is considered to be the best Non-Synthetic, (it's the same as Cummins Premium Blue, and NAPA Blue), and Valvoline Premium Blue Synthetic the best Synthetic.....

I primarily run Delo 400 15w-40, but on a couple of changes I have used Valvoline Premium Blue 15w-40. Both have worked fine for me.

The best oil out there will be schaeffer's for synthetic, dyno oil is all pretty much going to be the same.

I run Delo 400 15w-40 and add a qt of Lucas oil stabilizer at every oil change. Also run a bottle of Diesel Kleen in the fuel tank at fill up. Seems to run a little quieter with both.
