New here, Just purchased an 03-7.3

First id like to say HI to everyone,

My name is Bryce and i just purchased a 2003 F350-crew cab-lariat-short box 7.3 with an auto tranny, the truck has 195 000km on it and runs like new, the interior is in amasing shape and the truck lived its life on the highway, theres a little bit of gravel rash on the bottom of the drivers and passengers side door, but nothing i cant have fixed. Theres no rust at all!! I've grown up with diesels all my life and well we had an 03 ranger level 2 before this and it was all done up but then ran into tranny problems and decided the truck was no longer needed and bought a car. WHAT a mistake that was, 8 months later we sold the car and bought this! it was not hard for me to choose a 7.3 after the nitorious problems with the 6.0 they were having up here.

Theres a few things id like to ask about.
1) The drivers side front heated seat doesnt work very well? anyone else have this problem?
2)the back up sensor light on/off switch is always on off, the back up sensors did work at first but now they dont? broken sensor maybe?
3)I dont know what kind of maintenance was ever done to her so i did the usual injector cleaner in the tank. But other then that what would you suggest?
4)How do i get a little louder turbo whine, i did a search and read a few things about down pipe and straight pipe exaust and air filter. I ordered a Edge evolution tuner for it. will that help? any suggestions?
5)Id like to get the front end up higher, make it look level, is there someone you guys would recommend out there for a leveling kit?
6)On stock suspension whats the biggest tires i can run? 35x12.50?

It doesnt blow blue, white, black nothing. I absolutly Love this thing! All your help will be greatly appreciated!!Thanks again!!

Congrats on the truck!Sounds like a nice ride! Here are a few things you may want to start off with:
1)Shell Rotella Oil and a Wix Oil Filter
2)Change the fuel filter
3)Tranny flush/fluid/filter and an external filter kit www.dieselsite.com
4)Aftermarket Air Filter Setup (Ford Severe Duty AIS???)
5)Foil Delete Modification (More turbo noise)
6)Cat Delete/Muffler Delete or Aftermarket Exhaust (You'll love the sound!!!)
7)Boost/Pyro Gauges

I know i've left a few things out...but this would be a good place to start.

My 03 F250 has the back-up sensers. Most of the time the light is lit (off) some times it comes on, must be a wire for me. Yours is probably a bad sensor or just a bad wire connection. Good luck with the truck and once again !!!

welcome to the org and congrats on that awesome truck show some pics too. my heated seats suck too and mine is an 06 lol NS954 pretty much covered it as far as mods and maint. esp with with the foil delete. i would recommend a 4" turbo back exhaust system straight pipe. FARMBOY diesel can get you an amazing deal on that. def get intake and gauges are a must for any mods. good luck!! if you have any questions everyone this site is very helpful. and once again
