My Owner’s manual states that 1999 CA models were OBDII but my unit from Oregon is still OBDI.

So my question is, is there anyone who is successfully used Actron CP9190 ($260 in Amazon), or EZ-scan AX6000, or EQUUS 3140 all of which can read manufacturing enhanced code?

My Check Engine Light is on, truck intermittently stops and I am hoping that it is the famous CPS which dealer will replace tomorrow under recall.

Thank you,

George.

They Will Replace it with the Gray One. Which is junk. The best is Blue , and Used to be had at International. Next Best is Black Which Autozone Carrys , or so does DP Tuner.

I had mine Replaced under Recall , and the Put the Gray One in which took a crap 2 months later. Now I have a black one . Since International Can no longer get ahold of the Blue ones.

I bought a brick for 300 bucks just for the 2 programmable cartridges that were updated for asian and domestic thru 07, mine is like new. I wasn't aware snap on had a fastrack diesel insight for the brick, someones been holding out on me. I tried it on my wifes 04 and can confirm you need the can adapter which I still have to get.

matco has a small hand held one I used in my automotive competitions which I were in when I was in high school.. It was neat and it was only like 40 bucks or something but it really only gave you code numbers and maybe some of a information of the code not much..
