Parking brake

My parking brake pedal is disconnected from the cable and the pedal is stuck down. The release is also broken. What's the best way to fix these things?

I have replaced the cable 3 times now and it just broke again. I am pretty sick of replacing it. What the heck is the deal, and how do I get a consistent parking brake?

mine works fine and I set it pretty hard often and lock it for a theft deterrent

if your not getting oem cables that could be an issue ( what is breaking?) and I would find a newer/fix
your release the system is simple on a SRW but not sure on a DRW

it is the front cable, and it has snapped in different areas each time. First one was the head that rests inside the parking brake assembly, second was the cable itself about 6 inches from the head on the cable in the assembly, and this last one broke on the head that attaches to the coupler under the body.
