Valve cover harness problems

I was trying to get it off to test my glow plugs. Not easy to get off, and not easy to get my hands in there either. After 10 minutes of failing, I guess I was a little too rough with it. You can see in this pic that I broke the black tab on the left side looking at it. It went back in ok and seems to be staying there no problem. Hopefully it will stay for a long time.



Well thats it, just wanted to share my stupidity with you all and see if there is anybody else who has had a problem with these things? Any tricks to get them off easier? I was pushing down on the center to release the clips on the side and prying the clip out with a small screwdriver.

Oh yeah, the best part is that my multi-meter took a s@#$ on me too. So I never even got to test the glow plugs. What a week i'm havin'

ive had them break before , they usually stay connected after
