Oil on intake???

well got 2 lookin at noticed a small pool of oil on top of my intake... Where is it leaking from? Is it a real big issue or pretty common any help would be nice...

Mine was a leaking, then dying HPOP, 1409.00 later it runs again.

I'd get it looked at, might just be o rings, but I didnt know about it till it was too late, I'm new to these things.
I've been reading a lot in here, If I had known I woulda saved a buncha money.

when you say oil on intake , you meaning an oil film all around intercoler boots, if so thats fairly normal

thats not the intake manifold ,thats just the valley of the block , the intake is the big aluminum piece from turbo to heads , if its in the valley of the engine it is possible to be the high press. oil pump o-rings , that would be a comon problem, that doesnt mean you need to have the pump replaced , get it looked at

Runs down back of motor comes out under fly wheel inspection cover i bet. Been there done that. Good luck probably orings.

I had the same thing going on,but i started changing my oil myself (instead of using jiffy lube) and may- be coinsidence but leak stopped. Might be different oil made o-rings swell and seal , who knows. Also guy i bought truck from was'nt a daily driver and i am, so orings might have also been dried and took a while to seal again. Just food for thought
