Turbo Surge?

I finally put a new airfilter on my truck (6637) my last airfilter was so clogged i was putting black smoke everywhere

now my turbo spools ridiculously and makes a kinda back surge sound,

lol. normal bud..called turbo fart.

Turbo surge is more pronounce under load..(towing). The turbo will make a "whipple" sound..thats not good.

Im guessing that "whipple" can be described as stalling too? my turbo does that sometimes but only when all the conditions are right when im accelerating from a low speed with the torque converter locked in
