Python Car Alarm Uninstall

I bought my 02 in November. Today I was installing my XM radio and to my surprise I find a huge mess of wires under the dash. It looks like there may have been a remote start added as well. I have no remotes for the system, nor do I really need it. I don't see the need to keep all that crap in there if it's not being used.
Has anyone ever tried to uninstall one of these systems? I'm curious to know if it might screw something up if I do.

I have a similar problem. I would just suggest tracing wires to see where they go.......take out what goes nowhere good..of course, if you havent played with electrical stuff, I'd steer clear.

if its remote start id suggest you try to get remotes for it i know you say you dont need it but id guess then youve never had it i used to think the same till i bought a car a few years back with it now i wont own a one without it ! remote start systems do more than just start it as well they can keep it running for a while after you park it as well to cool the turbo and other fetures as well depending on the modle look into it before you scrap it i bet many many other members here will tell you the same about keeping it
