beef it up by what means? what im lookin to do will put my ex around 400hp drop my EGT's by like 300degrees. kinda was leaning at saving the turbo ...figured the trans was a bit more resilliant.
The one thing i really dont want to fry is my trans.... so ball park what would a trans check up cost me?

its the torque that gets em more than the horse and 400hp you say ? i know the manufactures give big numbers but fyi it takes more than a chip intake and exhaust to clear 400 on a 7.3 and be reliable

well im lookin at stage 1 meth injections(45hp), zoodad, stage 2 air(10hp), 80hp daily setting 140 smoke, and a 28psi mechanical waste gate(turbo master)(25hp). pile all that on the stock 220hp(?) hp from '00 and i should be right in there. and those are my realistic numbers. everything above has about 3-5hp shaved off of manufacturer stated #'s cuz well...im a skeptic
