I will suggest you have a few tests ran. I would start with an injector buzz test. This will tell you if your injectors are working. An injector contribution test this will tell you if you have any faulty injectors. To me it sounds like an injector problem. Now it could be caused by a faulty under the valve cover wiring harness. I would check the connections at the valve covers and see if they are good tight and clean. Also scan your truck for codes. Even though your cel is not lit up does not mean there are no codes stored in the pcm.

Mine did the same thing only after a few months of owning it. My buddy retired from the local Ford dealership and had me bring it in to them (under the books) to have it tested. The #6 injector went out on it. I bought another injector and replaced it. Now the truck runs like the day I bought it.... First time I ever did an injector, just had to find some info on the net on the replacement process.....
